Dave Prosser, Risk Specialist at Preferred Mutual, will serve as a panelist at a cybersecurity summit hosted by the New York Insurance Association (NYIA) on March 18th, 2015 in Albany, N.Y. The summit will address the increasing trend of cybersecurity threats, particularly in the property and casualty insurance industry.
Prosser will be part of the "Insulating the Insurance Industry" panel, speaking specifically to a company's cybersecurity risk and overall enterprise risk management plan. The group will also discuss other areas of growing concern and IT best practices. Ellen Melchionni, president of NYIA, said that the summit is "a great opportunity to hear from cyber experts, ethical hackers, insurance specialists and business and industry leaders."
Prosser joined Preferred Mutual in July of 2013 and holds a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) designation. As the Risk Specialist, he focuses on the Company's business continuity and disaster recovery efforts. His invitation to moderate at this summit marks the second time in the past year that Prosser has been asked to speak as a leading professional on the subject matter, having recently presented at the Continuity Insights Conference in New York, N.Y.
