New Leadership Appointments at Preferred Mutual

Ronald Martin has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Business Compliance & Research at Preferred Mutual Insurance Company. In his new role, Martin will serve as an expert resource, providing Preferred Mutual business teams with critical detail pertaining to regulatory compliance. In close collaboration with senior colleagues, he will conduct research to ensure that business units understand and adhere to current and emerging requirements.

Martin has been with Preferred for more than 28 years, having served in multiple leadership roles during this time. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Cobleskill and has completed the Program in General Insurance and Insurance Regulation. Martin holds the Associate in State Filings (ASF), Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designations. He resides in Edmeston, N.Y.

Immediately succeeding Martin is Ernest W. Weeks III, Vice President, Personal Lines Profit Center. In this role, Weeks will provide leadership and strategic vision for critical lines of business, work in partnership on enterprise-wide initiatives, and lead the Personal Lines Territory Managers and their respective teams to meet and exceed Preferred's goals and objectives.

Weeks comes to Preferred from a national carrier, where he served in a series of leadership positions of increasing responsibility. He is a graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. Weeks resides in Clinton, N.Y.
